During this one day workshop, you will learn the basics of Leatherwork including how to cut and prepare leather using a template, preparing for and using harness needles to stitch as well as how to finish your product to a high standard. 

You will complete two projects, a Credit Card wallet to learn the basic skills followed by a bag or folder, adapted to your own style. 

Your tutor for the day will be Stuart Marriott, who having initially trained as a diamond mounter and working for 20+ years in London’s West End Jewellery industry, changed direction entirely.  During a trip to the US, Stuart met the renowned saddle maker Monte Beckman, who inspired him to transfer his traditional making skills to leatherwork. 

This workshop includes small group tuition, all materials for 2 projects, 2 sets of harness needles and wax thread for you to keep.   Lunch is also included as are refreshments throughout the day.  Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.  

Groups are limited to 4 to ensure individual attention.
